GE Washington and Jo Novelli-Blasko met in 1996 at an art camp in Colorado. They ate pancakes together on the summer solstice and have been collaborators ever since. Both artists were headed to graduate school and, after a cumulative 30 years teaching at colleges near and far, GE and Jo gave up the ghosts of their academic careers. There were marriages and divorces, illnesses and operatic performances. Today they've returned to Pennsylvania, to their hometowns. GE is in Bedford and Jo is in Johnstown.
